Watts Privacy & Cookie Policy
1. Scope
This policy applies to all Personal Data that is processed for Watts Customers and Clients.
2. Purpose
Watts values the privacy rights of our employees, customers, partners, suppliers, vendors and others. As required by Watts, Watts Customers and Clients (Data Subjects) are permitted to make certain requests of us relating to how Watts processes personal data. This policy outlines the requirements for making such requests and Watts’ corresponding obligations.
3. Data Subject Access Rights
Watts provides data subjects certain access rights with respect to their Personal Data. Those rights are summarized below:
A. Basic Information – the right to understand who Watts is and how we process a subject’s data.
B. Access – the right to request a summary of the data subject’s Personal Data that is processed by Watts, along with a copy of such personal data.
C. Portability – the right to request we provide a copy of a data subject’s Personal Data in machine readable form for transportation to another controller/processor.
D. Rectification – the right to request that we correct errors or update a data subject’s Personal Data.
E. Erasure – the right to request that we erase Personal Data in our possession.
F. Restriction on Use – the right to request that we stop processing a data subject’s Personal Data.
G. Objection to Use – the right to object to our assertion that we have a legitimate interest in processing a data subject’s Personal Data.
4. Periodic Testing
Watts will conduct periodic tests to ensure that we are supporting Data Subject Rights appropriately.
5. When A Data Subject Makes A Request To Exercise Their Rights
When a Data Subject that is a Watts Customer or Client seeks to exercise their rights in respect to Personal Data, Watts will assist work through appropriate technical and organizational measures, insofar as possible to fulfill our obligations.
Upon receipt of a request by a Data Subject, Watts is required to notify Watts' SSPA program leader prior to taking any action.
The Watts SSPA program leader will coordinate with the Microsoft SSPA team and assist Microsoft, through the appropriate technical and organizational measures, insofar as possible, to fulfill its obligations to respond to requests for Data Subjects seeking to exercise their Data Subject rights.
All Data Subjects' requests concerning Data Subjects' Rights will need to be responded to without undue delay. The Watts' SSPA program team is tasked with monitoring and tracking of all Data Subject Rights requests, including date and time of request, response times, follow up actions, and a record of when Microsoft was informed.
A Data Subject must be thoroughly vetted and qualified prior to the sharing of any Personal Data in order to:
Verify whether Personal Data is indeed being held for that Data Subject.
Make a reasonable effort to locate the Microsoft Personal Data requested and keep sufficient records to demonstrate that a reasonable search was made.
Verify that the Personal Data being requested belongs unequivocally to the Data Subject requesting the Data.
Whereas at Microsoft's direction, the Personal Data request is accepted, Watts shall provide the Microsoft Personal Data to the Date Subject in an appropriate format.
In no instance will Watts disclose or share any Microsoft Personal Data that is unrelated to the Data Subject requesting their Personal Data.
6. Data Protection Complaints
Any Data Protection complaints will be forwarded to the DPO who will address the matter with the Data Subject directly and will forward along any matters that were not able to be resolved to Watts.
7. Cookies
